Devious Journal Entry

Tue Sep 1, 2009, 1:41 PM
Man, I keep forgetting that dA has journals!

xD

Somebody needs to bug me to update more often. I have tons of stuff from my new camera, and a couple projects I really ought to be working on before school starts in 23 days.
Wow, that's a bit to think about. 23 days and I'm out of Eugene for the next year. Adventure awaits.

Things are moving!

Hey guys!
It's been a little while.

Anyway, quick update.
I'm one paycheck away from getting a Canon XS, so expect some new stuff up here (once I get Photoshop, but that shouldn't be hard ;D ).
I'm one day from getting my third eye back.
I'm one month from getting the two anchors I had taken out on Friday replaced with barbells so I don't have to worry about them tearing out or being pissed when I sleep on my tummy. =D
For spring break, I'm going to the zoo. And an Ok Go concert! And I'm ONE SEASON from Disney World!

On a larger scale, I'm a bit closer to piecing together the rest of my small-ish tattoos. I have a ton of new ideas. I promise I'll actually try to draw some out soon (though, some are text so I'll just describe them when it gets there XD ).
I'm two of four classes closer to having my prerequisites done for OCCI, too.

On a downside (sorry to give you all that good stuff and then blow it up): my uncle passed away on Friday, around 7:30. I'll spare the details.
So for Spring break I have a ceremony for him to look forward to (can you tell I'm being sarcastic? Good) as well as the zoo and Ok Go.

So, overall kind of up and down.
Karma owes me an absurdly furry pony.

PROJECT/BRAINSTORM FOR ANYONE INTERESTED

Wed Feb 4, 2009, 6:56 PM
I'll spare the details, but here's the gist:
My mom was diagnosed with Polyarteritis Nodosa (look it up on Wikipedia if you don't know what it is/does) when I was about eight. She was in treatment (chemotherapy) for a while, but was released before too much time. After a while she was even off most medication.
Recently however, she's had to go back on some medications. Specifically, Pretozone. It's made her irritable and moody, but she needed it.

Fast forward to now. She's had sudden flares in her symptoms, like when she was first diagnosed. Now, though, they're worse. Recent tests have showed the disease starting to affect her nerves and muscle control. In order to stop it from going further, she needs immediate treatment.
Problem is, the only real treatment option she has is risky. It could potentially help her, but it could also kill her.

The reason I'm putting this here is because I'm requesting the help of all you who read this. My mom has been really overwhelmed and vulnerable, and I want to cheer her up a little bit. Especially circulating around Valentine's, but not limited to. My problem is, big or teeny tiny, I can't come up with anything at all that I'm capable of doing for her (all I can think of is things she's always wanted to do like trips to other places and I DEFINITELY can't afford that x.x ).
So if any of you have any ideas, let me know!

^^ Thank you guys for reading this even if you can't think of anything, either.

Whew

Christmas was fun!

I think most exciting was getting to tell Sisco about our broken star I got tattooed on my wrist. It's been over a week now, and it's peeled and the color looks wonderful. I couldn't be any happier with it.
Plus, since the price stayed the same, I let the nice lady at the shop talk me into getting four others while I was there! So now I have a star on my left wrist, right hip, right arm, and two on my left shoulder. I love them all, I can't wait to get more!

It's a good thing I don't have a ton of money, or I'd go mod-crazy. Not joking.
I already drew out where I want the rest of my stars to go.

Anyway. I'm actually looking forward to Lane.
I hope I get to see some of you guys there every once in a while!

And, as a random side note...
I've got my Certificate in Mixology now (yeah srsly guys; I can legally make you guys awesome alcoholic drinks but can't have any of them, unfair or what), so once I finish my bartender's class I'll be a fully trained, professional bartender. How cool is that?

Best house wife ever, that's how cool. ;D

..from being done with all my holiday shopping!
I almost wish I had more people to buy stuff for, because I like trying to think up things other people would like.

The one left happens to be Sisco's.
BUT.
I know what I'm doing. And I talked to people about it. And I'm actually getting more out of it than I planned! So, go me!

(Also, I saw the cutest bunny today. Thought you all should know.)

I hope all you guys are having as much fun as I am with the holidays.
